Corporate Leadership
Kathryn Daut
Ms. Daut is the president and CEO of Dextera Corporation. She previously worked for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) as a program manager, which required juggling public information requests, technology management, and training and support for LCPS faculty and staff users. Prior to that, Ms. Daut held several positions at Perot Systems Government Services (formerly ADI Technology Corporation), where her skills were put to use as a project manager in the defense acquisition sector supporting a US Navy client and as a programmer for a series of information technology and program efforts.
During her career, Ms. Daut has routinely been a sought-after resource for the development and issuance of business proposals in pursuit of government contracts. Her leadership skills have been built and refined over years of working with a wide cross-section of technical specialists, management personnel, and clients with high demands and exacting standards. She started her work at Dextera Corporation in a high-level program support and business development role.
Lincoln Daut
Mr. Daut has 15 years of experience in the Federal sector, working first as an analyst at Logicon providing support for Navy records management and then at ADI Technology Corporation, Perot Systems Government Services acquired (PSGS) in 2002. At PSGS, Mr. Daut was the program manager responsible for the overall management of the Microfilm Digitization Access System (MiDAS), an electronic records management solution for the US citizenship and immigration services office of records management.
Mr. Daut oversaw the software development, hardware implementation, and digitization of over 60 million immigration records and digitized over 8 million immigration and customs enforcement records. He then cofounded Dextera Corporation, starting with a focus on industrial facility management and then expanding into records management, where he put his years of program management experience in that specialty to use. Mr. Daut transferred control of Dextera Corporation in January 2008 and redefined his role at the corporation as technical advisor responsible for client satisfaction and team leadership.
History
Dextera Corporation was started in 2005 by Lincoln Daut as a subchapter S corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The business's initial focus was industrial facility management under subcontract for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). Dextera’s business grew to incorporate records management and then quality assurance, areas in which Mr. Daut had previous experience as an analyst and then program director.
In October 2006, Dextera won its first subcontract with the Department of Homeland Security Immigrations Customs Enforcement (DHS ICE). In June 2007, Kathryn Daut took over Dextera’s day-to-day operations, putting her proven program management and corporate infrastructure experience to develop its core business processes. In November 2007, Dextera won a subcontract with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), providing the prime contractor with independent quality management services. This contract doubled in its second year and provided a sign of things to come for this growing business.
Customer-Focused Approach & Quality Services
As Dextera expanded and gained a reputation for customer-focused and top-quality service, Ms. Daut took over as majority owner in January 2008 and worked to obtain Small Business Association 8(a) certification as a Small Disadvantaged Business. Under Ms. Daut’s guidance, Dextera has expanded to operations in 14 states and focuses on developing its records management and quality assurance services. Dextera has teamed with both large and small corporations, developing relationships that will continue to bring success for itself and its partner companies.
